We had a great AGM last night - a huge ngā mihi to everyone who turned up to support. A warm welcome to our new board members, and thank you to our current very hard working ones also! Thank you John, Tim and the rest of the Kaipātiki Local Board - we really appreciate your ongoing support.Congratulations to Birkdale Beach Haven Community Project INC on a successful AGM last night! There was a great update from passionate staff and the adoption of a new constitution. A very warm welcome to the three new board members! For over 50 years, BBCP has been a linchpin of the community, supporting local residents and responding to local needs.(There was a last-minute change of venue to Birkdale Community House after a powercut hit Beach Haven Community House, and much of Beach Haven!).- Funded by the Kaipātiki Local Board. ... We would like to acknowledge local resident, long time supporter and friend of Birkdale Beach Haven Community Project, Jill Nerheny QSM, who has just retired as the Manager of Kaipātiki Community Facilities Trust. Jill has worked tirelessly with and for our local communities. What she has done for the education, health, wellbeing and prosperity of a diverse range of people across Kaipātiki and much further afield cannot be underestimated. We will miss your feisty but measured presence at meetings, your strategic vision of what can and should be done, and the fun and laughter that you could bring when required. No one can rock PINK like you can! Or in this case a pink couch. We wish you well for your retirement Jill, and look forward to continuing our mahi for the good of our community, in partnership with the networks that you have created and alongside KCFT. Much love and respect! The BBCP team Image from the book: Auckland North Community and Development Inc (2016) 'My Story Your Story Together Builds Communities’, pg 42. ... See MoreSee Less
